Bishop Holcomb
Bishop Holcomb was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He and his family moved to Los Angeles, California in September of 1976. While seeking a better way of life, the Lord led him with his family to Crenshaw Christian Center under the pastor, Dr. Frederick K.C. Price. In April 1977, his entire family went forward to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. Before receiving the Lord Jesus Christ, Bishop Holcomb had a very promising and lucrative recording contract with Motown Records. His convictions led him to void this commitment.
Following the Lord’s directions and instructions, he joined the United States Army. At the age of 28, Bishop Holcomb yielded to the call of God. Stationed first at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and later at Fort Hood, Texas, he made full proof of his calling with manifestations of signs, wonders and miracles. He arrived at Fort Hood, Texas in January 1980, and immediately began a Bible study that took roots and blossomed in the first week.

With an original membership of thirteen people, he started The Christian House of Prayer Ministries, which is now one of the largest ministries in the Central Texas area. Located right outside Fort Hood, Texas, (the largest military installation in the free world), the Christian House of Prayer and Bishop Holcomb are here as a spiritual strategic move of God. Many pastors and ministers in the United States and abroad have adopted Bishop Holcomb and his wife Valerie as their Bishop. The Christian House of Prayer Ministries spans the United States and Europe. His well-rounded ministry is balanced in the knowledge of God’s Word. Whether it requires teaching about singles, marriages, church government, church growth or the coming of the Lord, God has anointed and equipped
Bishop Nathaniel Holcomb as one of His ambassadors.

He is truly a man of God. God has given him a spirit like David’s, a spirit which is designed to gracefully and purposefully watch over the congregation. He does this through continued prayers and supplication. Also, God has given him a special love for all the members of the Christian House of Prayer, and this love is displayed in many ways. He and his wife have been examples to the people in this ministry, in Copperas Cove, Killeen, Fort Hood, and many towns and cities beyond the Central Texas area. He has a desire similar to King Solomon’s – to be able to\ receive instructions from God in order to properly lead and instruct God’s people. He asks that you follow him as he follows Christ, and continue to lift him up in prayer.
